Please find our inspection report at the bottom of this page. This new `Compliance Inspection` consisted of a 2 day visit with 3 inspectors scrutinising the school under 8 standards clearly outlined in the attached document. They observed teaching and learning, scrutinised pupils’ books, met with students and carefully looked through all of our policies from Health and Safety to Safeguarding. The team also read parental and student questionnaires prior to the inspection. No formalised ‘quality’ judgements are made in the way the old inspections were, but the inspection is very rigorous indeed with a high percentage of good schools falling down on at least one or two of the 8 categories. A number of key developments had been implemented by the school over the past year from registration systems to upgraded Health and Safety and Safeguarding policies to ensure we were ready for this new type of inspection and the new stringent regulations to ensure that children are safe in school. These were critical to the inspection and the 8 standards that had to be passed.
I am delighted to report that the school was not only compliant in all 8 standards, but we also received excellent questionnaire responses, so my sincere thanks to those students and parents who completed the surveys.
I would like to thank all staff for their hard work and support not just over the inspection days, but also the build up to them by adopting and implementing new policies, and for the high level of teaching that was witnessed by the inspectors. The inspectors were impressed by everything they saw.
