Musical extravaganza coming to St. Dominic’s

5th June 2019

There’s nothing quite like the sound of music – and if you feel the same, we’ve got a great day out lined up that you just might be interested in.

Make a note in your diary for Wednesday, June 12. That’s the day we hold our whole school musical concert, outdoors providing the weather behaves!

It promises to be a wonderful day’s entertainment, featuring students of all ages and a wide variety of styles of music in a packed programme – with something in there to suit everyone’s tastes.

It all starts at 2pm and will run throughout the afternoon, ending with the senior concert and tickets are now on sale to the public.

We have lots of pupils who have lessons in school and many of them are part of various bands that love to perform in concerts. We are having a soloists and small ensembles concert for the Prep school starting the programme. Ages range from Year 2 to Year 6.

The senior concert gets under way at 5pm and will feature many soloists performing both classical and pop music, the choir will be singing some items, the school ensemble will be playing, we have pop bands performing and Year 7 and 8 will be entertaining visitors with their own compositions.

We have an excellent music programme lined up and we hope to see as many people as possible coming along on the day. Food and drink will be available – so why not join us and make a day of it?

Music plays a big part at St Dominic’s and we have some very talented students who love to entertain. It’s a varied programme and one we are sure will prove very popular with our visitors.

Tickets are £5 adults, £3 concessions and available from reception.
