New safeguarding officer joins team

16th October 2019

Please give a warm St. Dominic’s welcome to the school’s new safeguarding officer, Jez Reynolds, who will be looking after the safety and wellbeing of our pupils.

Mr Reynolds has a wealth of experience in safeguarding at a number of levels following a distinguished career in the police, as well as some time in the armed forces, and started his new role here at St. Dominic’s at the end of September.

Headteacher, Mr McNabb, says that Mr Reynolds will have a varied role.

“We are delighted to welcome Mr Reynolds to the school,” he says. “With the growing number of boys at St. Dominic’s, we felt it was important to bring more balance to our pastoral team.

“Whilst one of his main roles will be supporting pupils with any pastoral issues, Mr Reynolds will also be helping with logistical arrangements around school trips – particularly residential trips – so his experience of travelling to various countries overseas will be a big help.

“Another area of his work will be assisting with the school estate and site management, as we look to improve our school with new resources in the future.”

We are certainly in safe hands! Welcome to our wonderful school, Mr Reynolds.
