Our summer fayre is fast approaching and we just can’t wait!
It’s one of those events that always proves popular and is a truly wonderful way to show off our school. This year is no exception and the Friends of St. Dominic’s are working hard to create an amazing event with the theme of Brewood’s Got Talent.
It takes place on Friday 28th June and one of the highlights will be a battle of the bands, choirs and a variety of acts which promises to be a hugely entertaining afternoon for visitors.
The summer fayre is always one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the school calendar and one everyone really looks forward to.
The school grounds are a wonderful setting in high summer with the picturesque surroundings the perfect location for one of the highlights of our year – particularly if the weather is kind to us.
It’s a busy day for all concerned, with the setting up beginning about 9am and then it’s all go until we start winding things up at 4pm.
There will be hot food, bar, refreshments, ice creams, an inflatable are, a shopping village with beautiful toys, handcrafted hair accessories, beauty treatments, clothes, gifts and much more…
There will be inter-house stalls – which one will get your vote?
The fayre gets underway at 1.15pm with the first competition featuring the choirs of St Dominic’s and Brewood Middle taking centre stage at 1.30pm. The bands from each will be battling it out an hour later before the prizes are awarded around 3pm.
Entertainment will be provided by the staff bands while judges reach their deliberations – so there will be plenty of music to listen to during the course of the afternoon.
The Friends of St. Dominic’s work extremely hard to run the fayre each year, it certainly takes some organising, but they do a wonderful job and it is always a real credit to the school.
Make a note of the date and we look forward to seeing you on the day!
