It is hard to believe that we have come to the end of this half term.
We have all in some way been affected by this unfortunate virus – friends and relatives. My thoughts are with you all. We are so close knit, I see us more as a family rather than a community.
We have been working incredibly hard to continue with remote teaching. More and more schools have sadly had to dilute their teaching to cope. For St. Dominic’s, this has not been the case. I would like to once again, applaud the efforts of my staff as they refuse for anyone to fall behind. Thank you once again to yourselves for suddenly having to become teacher, as well as continuing with your normal jobs. Also, a huge congratulations to our children, persevering; it will be worth it in the end!
I appreciate that I have sent out some quite heavy correspondence this week regarding returning to school and all of the additional safety measures that we will be putting into place. Therefore, I would like to take a moment to spread some positivity. The numbers of cases are down, there are great strides being made in testing. The country is slowly starting to re-open, we can meet up with at least one additional loved one. Best of all, the schools are reopening and I get to see some of the children again!
Attached is a little video we have put together for everyone to watch, smile and remember. We are still standing – better than we ever did! Enjoy! We will see you soon!
Love to all your families. Please stay safe and well.
