Parent Evenings

At St. Dominic’s we pride ourselves on the close contact we maintain with parents throughout the time their child attends school. We have regular parent evenings (see the calendar page for specific dates – Term Dates & Calendar – St Dominics Grammar School ).

We have regular reports to keep parents updated on their child’s progress. Parental portals enable us to communicate quickly and provide live updates on House Points achieved by individual children.

Our Parents Forum is run for parents and by parents.  Meetings are held each half term and is a great opportunity for parents to meet up and gain an insight into key aspects of school life.

Furthermore, it is a unique opportunity for parents to be briefed on, and influence decision making about whole school initiatives and plans for the future.  Parents are invited to contribute their ideas and opinions on important matters working alongside teachers and leaders to make significant improvements as the school continues to develop.

We are very proud of our achievements to date with consistent outstanding results.  However, we do not rest on our laurels and value the contribution that parents make to school life. If you are interested in attending the meeting, email Mrs Hastings-Smith at nsmith@stdominicsgrammarschool.co.uk in order to confirm that you are able to attend. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs Hastings-Smith by email or telephone. We look forward to seeing you!

Please note that this Forum is intended to enable parents to gain information about school initiatives and as an opportunity for the school to seek the views of parents on decisions that may affect them.  If parents wish to raise individual concerns, they are invited to use the school’s complaints procedure as outlined on the school website.
